Lady Gaga may headline the 2017 Super Bowl show! According to Billboard, sources close to Gaga have said that she is “in talks” to perform at the 51st annual football championship game’s halftime show on February 5, 2017, at NRG Stadium in Houston.
One of the main reasons why the NFL is said to be hot on the singer was her performance of the National Anthem at the 2016 Super Bowl. However, nothing is confirmed as of yet.
“We have had conversations with several fantastic artists about the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show. However, at this point, we do not have a final decision,”
“We’re happy there is so much excitement about the show.”
Last month, rumors swirled that Adele was in talks to perform at the Super Bowl LI. However, the NFL later denied the rumor.
Lately, Lady Gaga has kept busy with appearances on “American Horror Story,” a performance at the 2015 Academy Awards and a duet album with Tony Bennett. She is also preparing for the release of her next solo album (no release date has been announced yet). On Sept. 9, Gaga released the album’s first single, “Perfect Illusion”.
